Identity and Access Specialist (SAP)

Randstad is currently working with a Queensland Government Department to find a Identity and Access Specialist (SAP) on an initial contract until 31/12/2026 with potential of extension. This role is based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility.

Role Overview:

The Identity and Access Specialist will undertake a specialist role in ensuring that the S/4HANA Finance, Business and Logistics solution including SAP GRC Access Control is supported through the effective administration, provisioning, monitoring and review of user identities and access.

Key Duties:

• Identity Lifecycle Management: Administer and maintain user identities, access provisioning, and de-provisioning across S/4HANA and associated enterprise applications in accordance with agreed procedures, service levels, and identity lifecycle practices (joiner, mover, leaver).

• Incident & Problem Resolution: Analyse and resolve identity and access management issues, delivering practical solutions to meet business requirements across operational support and project deliverables within specified timeframes.

• Workflow & Process Support: Support the design, configuration, testing, maintenance, and documentation of identity and access management processes, including access request workflows, role assignments, and periodic access reviews in accordance with industry security and development standards.

• Security Controls & Compliance: Apply enterprise application security controls, policies, and procedures in strict compliance with organizational governance and cyber security standards.

• Role Assignment & SoD Monitoring: Support role implementation and maintenance by assigning security roles aligned with functional requirements, identifying, and escalating potential Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts using GRC Access Control.

• User Access Reviews & Audit Support: Undertake regular user access reviews, recertification activities, and access reporting to support audit requirements, compliance checks, and security incident investigations related to system access.

• Cloud Platform Administration: Administer identity and authentication services within SAP BTP, including Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS), under guidance from senior security team members.

• Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Liaise, consult, and negotiate effectively with team members, project teams, and business stakeholders to foster strong working relationships and protect the integrity of integrated solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in identity and access management administration, including user provisioning, de-provisioning and access reviews within S/4HANA or comparable enterprise applications, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a complex IT environment.
• Demonstrated experience with SAP GRC Access Control (or equivalent tooling) for access requests, SoD analysis and user access reviews. Exposure to SAP BTP identity services (IAS/IPS) is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on meeting outcomes and delivering a quality client service.
• Proven ability to apply technical knowledge in responding to identity and access maintenance and support requests according to agreed procedures and service levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders to implement access solutions whilst complying with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks, including privacy and information security obligations.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective client and stakeholder relationships and ensure requests and solutions are properly understood and resolved.
